March Update 2021
Updated: Apr 15
With the weather warming up and vaccines ramping up, we’re excited for the opportunity to soon get back to registering voters, knocking on doors, and all the activities we’re used to doing in person. There’s a lot of work to do both now and in preparation for the 2022 elections and we would love your help. Here’s how you can get involved. Monthly Meeting Our next monthly meeting is Thursday, March 18 at 6pm. We have a number of different initiatives in the works right now and this is a great opportunity to hear more about them and figure out where you’d like to fit in. You can register for the meeting here: https://www.mobilize.us/santarosacountydems/event/373146. You are also welcome to attend any of our other local Democratic meetings:
The Democratic Black Caucus is meeting on Thursday, March 11 at 6pm. For more information, please contact Sandi Smith at email@example.com.
The Democratic Women’s Club is meeting on Monday, March 22 at 6pm. For more information, please contact Cecilia Newman at 850-450-7518 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Action Alerts I’m sure you’ve noticed that we are regularly sending out action alerts about important pieces of legislation in front of both our county and state governments. Each action alert contains a concise explanation of the issue, bullet points explaining why we are either for or against it, and contact information for the legislators who need to hear from us. They are designed to make it as easy as possible for you to make your voice heard and make a difference in the policies both here and statewide. We would encourage you to act quickly on these action alerts whenever possible. We truly believe that we can make a difference when we act as a unified group. And if you have any questions about these action alerts, or any input on how we can improve them, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would love to get your feedback. COVID Vaccinations COVID vaccinations are ongoing, and hopefully ramping up, here in Santa Rosa County. You can keep up to date with all the relevant information here: http://santarosa.floridahealth.gov/programs-and-services/infectious-disease-services/covid-19/index.html. The CDC is also doing a great job of keeping their guidelines up to date, and you can find all of that information here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. Thank You Thank you for all that you are doing. We know that this continues to be a difficult time for everyone and we genuinely appreciate all of your efforts. If you have any feedback or questions for us, you can reach us at 850-396-1935 or email@example.com. We will always be happy to hear from you.
In the meantime, stay safe and have a great week!
Matt Becker Chair, Santa Rosa Democrats
